Becoming a CHF Cowgirl:

The Cowgirls Historical Foundation is an equestrian group of approximately 20 Cowgirls who are women of achievement. They strive for excellence in celebrating our Western Heritage. The CHF Cowgirls are recognized for their exceptional ability to meet the requirements of a wide variety of community service events and equestrian performances. These accomplished Cowgirls excel in public speaking, modeling, horsemanship, and physical fitness. All CHF Cowgirls work to fulfill our mission to preserve our Western Heritage and the equestrian way of life.

The Cowgirls Historical Foundation is based in Tempe, Arizona. The equestrian drill team practices at arenas in the surrounding area.

Candidates for the Cowgirls Historical Foundation are by invitation and audition. Interested cowgirls meeting the requirements are interviewed by CHF Board Members for acceptance as an Aspiring Cowgirl, and are entered into a mentor program to become an Official Cowgirl.

CHF also has a Guest Cowgirl program whereby qualified women can participate in selected events with the Cowgirls. This requires a recommendation from a member of CHF, as well as, agreement from the event coordinator. The Guest Cowgirl program is an avenue for CHF and the guest to interact and share talents on a non-committal basis.

The Cowgirls Historical Foundation is proud of the many wonderful equestrian groups and organizations that showcase and respect our western heritage. We are excited to share that common goal and are proud of all contributions to this worthwhile end.

Those who wish to apply for an Aspiring Cowgirl interview or to be a Guest Cowgirl must send a resume and photo to:
