Amanda Gomez Miller

Amanda is honored to be a member of the Cowgirls Historical Foundation. Her love of horses and the western lifestyle began at age four when she asked her parents if she could take riding lessons. Over the years, she held many rodeo queen titles in Arizona with her most coveted title winning the horsemanship category at the National High School Rodeo Queen competition as she competed against 40 other high school rodeo queens each representing her state.

Amanda spent her childhood years in Arizona and graduated from the University of La Verne in Southern California with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. She then landed her first job as a reporter/anchor in Waco, Texas soon after graduation. She met her husband in Waco and is currently living with him in the beautiful Monterey County of California where she is the main evening anchor for CBS affiliate KION-TV.

Amanda loves being a CHF cowgirl because it allows her to teach others about the western way of life and the importance of showing honor and respect for our western heritage. The Cowgirls Historical Foundation also gives her the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life and participate in unforgettable events such as the Tournament of Roses parade. She is grateful for the opportunities and life experiences she has been given as a CHF cowgirl and hopes that she can be an inspiration to other young girls just as she was inspired by those cowgirls who came before her.
