Although her interests have taken her in many directions , Chantel discovered her true passion at the age of twelve when her parents introduced her to a very handsome gentleman, her Paint horse “Boomer”. Chantel fast became a dedicated horse woman and together, she and Boomer have teamed up for horse shows, parades, team pennings, and rodeos throughout the state. Along with her love of horses, Chantel embraced the western lifestyle. She has competed for and won five queen titles including Lost Dutchman Days Jr. Teen Queen, Lost Dutchman Days Sr. Teen Queen, Gilbert Days Sr. Princess , Gilbert Days Teen Queen, Gilbert Days Rodeo Queen, and the prestigious Prescott Frontier Days Queen, home of the “World’s Oldest Rodeo”. As a veteran rider with the Cowgirls Historical Foundation, she continues to enhance her horsemanship skills and support the values of our western heritage.

Being a member of CHF, Chantel enjoys the opportunity to gain wisdom from her fellow members, make new friendships and participate in community service projects. Activities involving such friends and her horse are a welcome break from her busy career as a Registered Nurse where she specializes in Obstetrics. Chantel graduated with honors obtaining her Bachelor degree in Nursing and has goals of furthering her education in the future.

Chantel is honored to be a member of the Cowgirls Historical Foundation which supports a lifestyle rich in tradition and is dedicated to keeping our western heritage alive.
